Forest Fruits – Markets for Women
“BRIDGE – Innovation and Development” implemented a project “Forest Fruits – Markets for Women” funded by BIG Lottery Fund (BLF). The project aimed at improving livelihood conditions of vulnerable groups living in rural areas through the establishment of agricultural cooperatives, the production of forest fruits and the development women's economic leadership.
The initiative was a development project launched in 2015 targeting Mtskheta-Mtianeti region of Georgia focusing on 5 different communities:
Tsinamdgvriantkari, Pasanauri, Nichbisi, Sharakhevi and Saguramo. The beneficiaries, mostly women, are IDP’s living in rural areas. The project is supporting women’s economic leadership and developing their skills for the successful advocacy of the local issues.
